Thicker Park A.O.
5 PAX may, (or may not?) have been doing PP/APDs/MH’s all day and/or all morning. Still, there was a job to do at 0700 on a Saturday like there always is. Temps were high ‘teens, but cold weather would be the least of our concerns. Regardless of how one dressed, we all stayed warm.
Special shout out and much love to our very own freshly newly weeded Class Act. God bless you and Christine as you both start this chapter of your new lives together.

The Thang
Indian Run to the Eternal Flame
Pt. 1
Trip to the Eternal Flame was about 1/3 of a mile. When we got there, the conditions sucked. THe benches are polished granite, and the ground was all ice and snow. We attempted step-ups, but ended that after 1 set. OCB pointed out alternate rock formations to use for step-ups, so we got through the following before curtailing this portion of the workout:
8-count step-ups x10
Incline Merkins x10
Dips x10
Repeato 2x for a total of 3 sets
Indian Run back to the pavillion
Pt. 2 – Coupon Palette Cleanser
Circle up, grab your coupon

Curls x10 IC
Rat Curls x10 IC
Rat Squats (w/ or w/o coupon) x10 IC
Pt. 3 – Every min on the min (+5)
Terrible. Got this from NOLA. This is apparently the most efficient way to knock out the MABA challenge requirements. Set a Tabata timer and PAX perform 10 burpees OYO / AFAP. The time to the remainder of the minute is yours to spend as you see fit. The 5 second rest was my deal.
The by-the-book is to do 10 rounds to yield 100 burpees. We stopped after 6 rounds. For our at-home viewers, that’s 60 burpees in 6:30. Recover for a 10 count after that.
Pt. 4 – Rock / Paper / Scissors
Such a fun game! PAX pair up stand back-to-back. PAX battle it out in a high-stakes game of RPS. 10 rounds. Winner performs merkin(s). Loser performs burpee(s).
Round 1 – 1 rep
Round 2 – 2 reps
…
Round 9 – 9 reps
The first 4 rounds fly by. Once you start adding more reps, the stakes get exponentially higher. Nothing sucks like doing 7 burpees, losing, doing 8 burpees, losing AGAIN….. etc.
Once Optimus got to round 10 (and lost, naturally), I offered to take his 10. OCB suggested we all perform the last set together. Like men. So 10 burpees regardless of status.
Back to Pt. 3
We did 60 burpees EMOM, and with the 10 team burpees we just did, I wanted to wrap up all 100. So we did 3 more rounds of EMOM for a total of 100, plus whatever you won/lost on RPS sets 1-9

I realize that not all PAX were condition to do that many APDs/PP/MH in a row, and some PAX may have found the end of themselves prior to reaching rep 45 (which is really 90 if you think about it). But we had fun and other PAX may (or may not?) have had more fun than we did.
The Men of F3 NWInd were angling hard at Class Act’s male friend group. There were some guys, some dads, and some sad clowns that heard from us that there was a better way. Much to my pleasure, several of the non-initiated men heard the virtues of F3 by Classy several times before.
Our group is a male leadership development group disguised as an outdoor men’s bootcamp. Think back to the 1st time you Q’d. Some of you may have felt leading was natural, and some of you took that initial step in faith. Look at where many of you are now. That is what we do. The courage to step in front of a group of capable men and lead them into the best, most miserable part of their day is a skill that is applicable in many areas of life.
I’m proud of you all. God bless and I’ll SYITG
