Date: Monday 6/9/2025
PAX: Mr. Incredible, Little Minion, OCB, Pacrat, Optimus, Gummy Bear (Q), Bob Villa
On each level of the amp is a station. Each PAX starts at one of them and does 40 seconds AMRAP there then moves to the next. Cycle through til you’ve done all 7 stations and we did 4 different rounds of this…
Round 1
Round 2
Round 3
Round 4 (PAX choose what their starting station will be for everyone)
I was later told that what we did was basically a “Tobatta”? Sounds like a Peyton thing, but I wasn’t sure what that was or if I did it 100% right so we did a Gum-Batah
Good to see Little Minion and Mr Incredible out to Patmos, hope you guys can come more frequently this summer! Good also to see Bob Villa back and I’m looking forward to his Q at the Dump this week! Everyone did well today and got to exercise some creativity on the last set. A good sweat and lots of equipment got some use. Thanks Oppy for reminding me to Preblast lol!
Til next time! -GB

HERE’S THE RULES. 6 PAX line up on the South Curb of the lot. You’ve got a set time to complete the accompanying exercises. Once time’s up, every rep left uncompleted by anyone is a burpee for everyone.
Breakdown: 3 PAX finished/ Everyone does 14 Burpees. Not bad
10-Count Rest
Breakdown: Everyone Finished/ No Burpees
No Rest
Breakdown: No finishers, Everyone does 18 Burpees
2 Minute Rest
Breakdown: 1 PAX Finished, Everyone does 22 Burpees
Jog 6-piece lap 3 times as soon as burpees are done, tempo pace.
1 Minute Rest
Around the Horn, Each PAX picks an exercise and leads it
Great coffee conversation about many things from Drag Queens to the Death Penalty. Had to be there, but the moral of the story is we as PAX can have lively enjoyable debate and all walk away with something learned and something new to think about!
Great work to all the guys. I said it at the beginning that some guys would finish each set, some wouldn’t and not to apologize or feel bad if you gave it 100%. That’s the whole point is just pushing your heart to its limit to strengthen it and if we fell short burpees help with that too.
In all likelihood we were probably in Zone 4 most of the time as I don’t feel any guys reached 180-200 BPM for the 3-5 minute sets we were doing, but the constant get up and do this without a break definitely pushed that heart exercise! Pleasure to Q you all, talk soon!
Nuthouse way to give full effort. You may not be at the level you were once at, but your effort shows, you get out there in the gloom and make every beatdown more enjoyable! OCB, way to push us with merkins when we’re tired and engage in good lively debate, love chatting. Optimus, thanks for going along with my Michigan jokes HA, I commented that I believe this is the first beatdown I Qed the poo outta someone, and thank you for your consistent support and concern about me brother! Goon, always a blessing to have you out in the gloom, way to lead the pack with many of the exercises. Roadshow, a quieter day and we missed you at coffee, but always a friendly presence and I really appreciate what you’re doing with the mileage challenge! Even tho I’m marathon training its pushing me all the more to not skip a run because I’m tired! Good luck today with whatcha got going on!

PAX: Optimus, Gummy Bear
Lots of stretching (8 minutes)
Jog to Highland Christian School Via the Bike Path and neighborhood (0.5 mile one way)
Yup that was literally it. Prolly 70-80 Burpees each and maybe a dozen or two pullups and a mile run. The original idea was to have 1 guy doing burpees and everybody doing shots on the basketball hoop and once someone made it everybody would run around the lot and then relieve the burpee guy. Not gonna lie I love Optimus and we had a great time but a little frustratin when we continually get low numbers. I know we had some guys hurting or resting after a tough week, no worries at all. Just saying if there’s 20 something PAX that attend Northside of NWIND we shouldn’t be having 2 PAX workouts especially in May?? C’mon out guys we miss you and we need you for this thing to thrive. I like HHH’s idea for an AO posting challenge, I thought of another I may share. But Qs not just myself all of em put work into every beatdown, COT and backblast make it worth their while! I know I’m preaching to the choir cause the only ones who’ll read this are 4-6 day guys anyways lol
