Long overdue, but sometimes that’s how it goes …
3 PAX showed with the intent to grow at the Sept. 26 Troy Ruck Club. Fresh off a not-too-brutal Tough, it was good to share some insights and new moves with some Tough pax. This is what I can recall all those days later.

We’ve got to start making these workouts great again, myself included as I hurried out of the house and forgot my pre-drawn plan and tried to remember most of it. Shout to Coors and Muck for holding it down out a Troy. No matter what type of fire you bring as a Q, they are going to kill it while suffering in silence. These dudes are machines, but we need Troy to keep growing. I was happy to be able to discuss some quirks not only from the recent Tough but also from the entire GrowRuck scene. It’s water under the bridge that we didn’t have a massive NWI turnout, but those of us that went are fine evangelizing for the good words that we got out of the weekend. This showing was a little disappointing the week after GrowRuck and the same week we shuttered an entire AO and lopped a few workouts off the dais. I’m not sure if the ruck workout scares other Troy regulars away, but it’s not that much different from a strength-focused workout on any other day with an AM bootcamp. Well, we need to keep digging and keep trying. I needed to get out and back under the ruck even though I was coming off three double-figure-hour GORUCK events in five weekends and somewhat physically and mentally tapped. I hope this one was a challenge and fun at the same time because along with the second and third Fs, we need the first F to really be the initial hook. Beating your brain out solo is not ideal. However, we need to show to grow.
