As a self-proclaimed genius of marketing and self-promotion, the idea of the Re-Name-Orama came to me in a wet dream. What I mean is I was having a dream in which I was literally drowning in 3 foot of water and then I just stood up on my feet and everything was fine. And here we are. This is what we did.
Pax in attendance: Brutus Beefcake, Reck-it-Ralph, Muck, Coors, Kato (QIC)
Pax were not on time except Brutus Beefcake aka BB as requested in the Pre-blast.
Warmups:
Arm circles Forward x 10
Arm circles Backward x 10
Imperial Stormtroopers x 15
Hillbillies x 15
Broken Windshield Wipers x 20
The Thang:
Originally I had another “Murph” planned for today. Only difference was with our Rucks on. Of course this would have had to be done at Highland Main Square Park and then I realized we would all be running at different intervals. I surveyed the land and decided I wanted all Pax to keep eyes on each other so I decided to go with the old reliable Cardio-Pulmonary-Resuscitation series with the all so memorable 30:2 ratio of exercises.
The Thang (rucks on):
First Set consisted of 30 Slurpees and 2 Jack Webs on one end of Troy Parking Lot, run/walk down to Highway Avenue Stop Sign, 30 Jack Webs and 2 Slurpees.
Second Set consisted of 30 squats and 2 Scorpion Dry Docks per leg on one end of Troy Parking Lot, run/walk across Troy Parking Lot, 30 Scorpion Dry Docks (15 per leg) and 2 squats.
Third Set consisted of 30 World War I’s with Rucks in Front and 2 Eight count Body Builders, run/walk down to Highway Avenue Stop Sign, 30 Eight count Body Builders and 2 World War I’s.
Mary: Bruce Lee Planks. First set 15 per arm. Second set 15 per arm in three count cadence.
Endex.
Moleskin: So the groups separated and broke down into Coors/BB, and Muck/Reck-It-Ralph/Kato as we scampered back and forth across Troy. Muck discussed how Highland could put some money into this lot. It was only at Coffeteria did the mumble chatter actually come out. I guess I was being cussed at when I suggested 30 Eight count Body Builders. Whatever!!!!!
So here are the names we gave ourselves:
Brutus Beefcake-Yoda (no surprise here)
Reck-It-Ralph (Flacito which means Little Skinny Boy”)
Coors-Fat Farts
“Muck-“I don’t know”, then “The Hitman”. Presumably after Brett “The Hitman” Hart?
Kato-Sho Nuff from Last Dragon. Short for sure enough-original Ebonics term from 1985. Could also be short for Shogun of Harlem.
Berry Gordy was a legend. I am sure this spurred the latter conversations at coffee about bad Horror movies that BB and Coors were talking about. They even looked up some shorts of some. Wish Hitchcock was here to put his two cents in on horror movies, bad horror movies.
I”ll end with the following: Am I the meanest? Am I the prettiest? Am I the baddest mofo low down around this town? Bruce Leroy
